There's lots to do at Casa Blanca Lodge...

This protected heritage river area is an area of breathtaking beauty where bays, inlets and rushing waterfalls create a spectacular sight. The beauty of the land is complemented by wild flowers, untouched boreal forests, and wild animals in their natural environment.

Photography

Bring your camera! After you shoot that trophy catch of a lifetime, there will be many other things you'll want to catch on film. Bring a video camera and 35mm camera with a good telephoto lens to shoot bald eagles, beaver, black bear, golden eagles, otters plus many water fowl such as the northern loon, American black duck, wood duck. You may even get the opportunity to photograph a pileated woodpecker cousin to the now extinct ivory bill woodpecker. Rarely seen timber wolves and moose occasionally make an appearance for the wary photographer. Spectacular sunsets cap off a day full of incredible photo opportunities.

Hike our boreal forest
If you want some exercise after a day of fishing, there's nothing like a brisk walk through our boreal forest with its towering coniferous trees. Amidst the tall pine, you're likely to see native blueberries, lichen covered branches, and the foot-tall Dogwoods we Canadians call Bunchberry. Head deeper into the forest and you'll hear the twill of the Cape May Warbler or the haunting sounds of the Northern Hawk Owl.

Swim next to our boardwalk
We have the perfect area for swimming along our boardwalk. Though our glacier fed water may be a bit cool early in the season, by early-July, it's perfect for an afternoon swim.

Explore secluded inlets in a paddle boat
After a morning of fishing, spend a leisurely afternoon in a paddle-boat exploring out-of-the-way coves and inlets. You never know who, or what, you might meet on the journey.

Spend time with your Kids
This natural setting makes it an ideal place to share time with your kids and get to know them better. With swimming, fishing, boating, and hiking, you'll get to build memories with your children that they will treasure for a lifetime.

Check out our neighbors
Among the sights of our area are the Indian Village with nearby Sudbury. Sudbury features:
